Overview: Adult Classes are for ages 16 and over. Sewing classes are limited to six participants. Once registered, students will receive an informational email approximately one week before the course start date. Sewing machines are provided for all classes. Students are required to bring their own fabric and thread (except for Sew Smart 1, where fabric is included). If you prefer to use your own sewing machine, please ensure you know how to thread it and bring your own bobbins and machine needles. Payment: Online: We accept all major credit cards for online registrations. In-Studio: Cash, checks, and PayPal are accepted for in-studio purchases and registrations. Payment is due at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Please register early, as classes fill up quickly. Refunds: Withdrawals made 7 or more days before the course start date will receive a full refund or studio credit, which can be used toward another class within six months. Credits expire after six months and are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals made less than 6 days before the start date. Instead, studio credit will be provided for use at a later date. No refunds or credits are given for dropouts. Missed Classes: Our multi-week sewing sessions build on skills from one class to the next, covering a wide range of techniques. To get the most out of your experience, it is essential to attend each class and complete any assigned 'at-home' work. Missing a class or not completing the work may affect your ability to finish the class project. If you anticipate missing a class, please let us know. In rare cases, we may be able to arrange a make-up session, but this is not guaranteed and is subject to availability. Class Cancellations: In the event of weather-related issues, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, class schedules may change. In such cases, an email will be sent out, sometimes as late as the day of the class. It is the student's responsibility to check emails regarding any schedule adjustments. We will do our best to reschedule affected classes. Safety: By enrolling in our classes, you acknowledge that sessions involve the use of machinery, sharp tools (such as scissors and pins), and hot equipment (like irons). Students are expected to use these items carefully and responsibly, understanding the potential risks involved. Shea Fashion Sewing Studio is not liable for any accidents or injuries that may occur during the use of tools.
